PLMF is established with the name of first Nepalese Women Everest Summitter and National Figure late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa in 1993 as a non-political, non-profit making, social, national non-governmental organization. The aimed to establish this organization is to standardize the situation of the women and children at high mountainous and hilly region by providing the better and qualitative service and opportunities on health, education, social securities, personal growth and income generation, develop mountaineering and tourism sector to better the socio-economy situation, development and empowerment of women in the country, welfare, and support to the mountaineers and their families as well as other people in the peripherals.
Objectives :
1. Run the Pasang Lhamu - Nicole Niquille Hospital (PLNN Hospital)
2. Improve the health status and health care services for the population of the Solukhumbu District.
3. Provide high quality general medical services to the community people by establishing sustainable "Pasang Lhamu - Nicole Niquille Hospital" in Lukla.
4. Provide effective reproductive and child health care services.
5. Improve availability and quality of curative and preventive health services in the Chaurikharka VDC and its neighboring VDCs.
6. Upgrade the PLNN Hospital to be able to provide more quality services.
7. Provide the necessary training facilities to the PLNN Hospital staff.
